The owner is super nice. He runs the whole place by himself. The kebab and bread tasted great. The buffet items fell a little short.
Excellent find, they serve full Turkish buffet with a good variety of dishes. Every dish was tasty starting from the salad. Authentic humus, tabuli, baba ganoush, dolma and more. The hot side had gyro, 2 chicken dishes, turkish rice with vermicelli, chicken wings and vegetables. The soup was also good. Finally the desserts were excellent. To top it all the service was excellent and Ray the owner was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Overall double thumbs up for Sofra Kebab House. Try it out folks, support your local small business.
Normally, I wouldn’t let this slide, but I didn’t see the bill until after I’d already paid at the counter, as he didn’t present it beforehand. I do take some responsibility for not asking for a breakdown, but his great hospitality made me feel comfortable and I placed my trust in him. I believe he simply overlooked this because he was overwhelmed. The receipt was emailed to me, and I didn't realize the billing issue until I got home. Overall, the food and service were good. Please don’t take this as a negative review of him or his restaurant. Exceptional hospitality, service, and food are hard to come by these days in small businesses, and he manages it all on his own.
**Vegetarian Options:** For vegetarians, the buffet offered onion soup, salad, tabbouleh, garbanzo bean salad, kidney bean salad, red cabbage slaw, falafel, hummus, pita, couscous, and watermelon. Additionally, for non-vegans, there were yogurt sauce, rice pudding, and a sweet almond dessert with condensed milk available.
Excellent food service! We came for dinner with some friends and we all really enjoyed our meal. The chicken and beef kabob tasted juicy and flavorful. The salad bar had excellent choices, ranging from salad to fresh watermelon (and more). The owner was sweet and did a wonderful job serving and making sure we enjoyed our food. You gotta check out this place if you’re in the mood for Turkish food and want good service!
