The bon... read more Take a look at staying here if you want to be close to Munich but not in the big city. A quiet little town Planegg, Bavaria approx 15 minutes to Munich. The bonus is a great Italian restaurant that is in the hotel with genuine...Italian charm and flavors to match. A great spot for a few days for a place to call home away from home. There is no air conditioning but there is shutters that you can bring down over the windows and it does cool down nicely at night due to being closer to the mountains of Bavaria. Enjoy....

F... read more I have been to La Terrazza a few times, the food has always been great, but the service disappointing. On my last visit, it was the most disappointing of all. For example, when I asked the waiter was the mixed fish plate consistented of, I...received a very sarcastic 'fish of course '. When pushed further, I did finally get a break down of what the dish would consist of. However, when it arrived, it was totally different to what I had bee lead to believe... The accompanying vegetable side dish was brought a good five minutes before the meal and was taken away before I had finished. When it came to paying the bill, the very same waiter assumed that the 15 € plus change was his even though service was included in the bill and the meal was less than 85 €. In the end, I had to request my change back, which personally, I find very embarassing and not the best end to a meal.

The restaurant is cosy, warm and has outdoor sitting as well. It is actually a hotel as well as a restaurant but we were there just for...dinner. Very friendly staff. The desert was also excellent. I recommend it without any hesitation. Plannegg is 20 minutes from MarienPlatz on S6 train.
