El Barrio Ii - Plainfield

Place is very clean and organized. But $6.50 for a small cup of Elotes is insane. Especially considering it was filled 3/4 of the way.

What a find in a strip center .. great food .. excellent. If I lived closer I would be using this place as my takeout kitchen. Kind wait staff .. but the food is what keeps me stopping in.

This place is really pushing it with the prices. I'm not sure if it's run by the same folks as El Barrio in Romeoville, but moving to Plainfield seems to have turned them into price bandits. I mean, $17.99 for a burrito dinner? When you can get a burrito for just $9.99? It's practically daylight robbery. I might as well go for two burritos and call it a day.

Don't let the store front dissuade a visit. Excellent menu choices as is the food. There are several dining tables but it doesn't have the Mexican restaurant ambiance, just good food.
