La Cantina Grill - Plainfield

We visited the restaurant for lunch with a group of five people. We ordered three beef empanadas and one chicken empanada. However, when the empanadas arrived on two different plates, all four of them turned out to be chicken. We informed the waitress about the mix-up, but were told that since we had already opened and started eating them, nothing could be done. We did try a few bites of each to see what was inside, as those were the only food items brought out at the time. Unfortunately, no refund was issued and we never received the beef empanadas we had originally ordered. The rice was served with what appeared to be frozen mixed vegetables and was not very good. The fish tacos were mediocre. The lackluster customer service continued when we were informed that the mistake was the restaurant's fault, but because we had touched the empanadas, no solution could be provided. It was concerning to think that they might serve those mistaken empanadas to someone else. Overall, I would recommend trying a different restaurant as our $100 was not well spent.

This restaurant is fantastic with delicious food and excellent drinks. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and Haley provided exceptional service. I look forward to visiting again the next time I am in the area.

The service at this restaurant is excellent! It is a fantastic local Mexican food establishment that also offers American classics. They have a full bar with margaritas and beer as well.

Went here for the first time tonight, most of the experience was great. Best margarita pizza around! Tacos and chimichanga were amazing, wasn't really impressed with the rice pilaf with veggies in it and could have used some seasoning. Disappointedafter we got seated understood they were busy but took 20 min before someone took our drink order, after they figured out whowas coming everything was smooth after that. Will def be back.
