This was my first time here. It is definitely outside of where I would go in the Columbus area, but the head chef is my friend's daughter. She's pretty good. The place is a nice relaxing place. They have a bar. They have an outdoor eating and play area. They host fun activities. The atmosphere is great. Not fancy. I wish I had known this before I got there. Definitely jeans. Lol. But anyway, serving staff was awesome... View all feedback.
What Doug Schlater doesn't like about 1487 Brewery:
I've been to this restaurant many times in the past and have ordered the burger 4 or 5 times. It was always a thick, juicy inch-thick burger, and they would ask how I wanted it cooked. However, that wasn’t the case tonight. The burger I received was only about a quarter-inch thick and was nearly burnt. It tasted like a frozen burger you might get at a county fair. Additionally, the bun fell apart and didn’t seem fres... View all feedback.
The service was extremely disappointing. There was only one person taking care of the tables, while several bartenders and managers just stood idly by. We experienced long waits, and there were no options for drink modifications or non-alcoholic beverages. The prices were very high as well. Although the food was good, we won't be returning due to the poor management.
While searching for a spot to meet my omnivore friends between Columbus and Marysville, I stumbled upon this German brewery in Plain City that offers vegan options. The location is easy to find, and it has a bright, open atmosphere. I'm looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the outdoor seating. I ordered their homemade veggie burger, and I was pleasantly surprised when the chef came out to share details about it and ask for my feedback! The burger was delicious, featuring unique flavors like creamy beet instead of mayo, which added a delightful twist. It did tend to fall apart, which is typical for homemade veggie burgers, but that didn’t detract from the experience. The beer was excellent, and my friends were also pleased with their meals.
We had a fantastic time tonight! We came for an impromptu date night and unexpectedly found trivia night happening. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the staff were sincere and kind. We're thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem and will definitely return for trivia nights in the future!
Additionally, the bun fell apart and didn’t seem fresh at all. I had brought friends here because of the quality it used to have, so I was really disappointed. I’m not sure I will return. I even asked the waiter if the burgers had changed, and he assured me they hadn’t, though he has been working there for a long time.
They were out of cheese curds??Used to be our go to for company outings but no longer a friendly place for large groups.Beware that your group will not be welcome and you will be forced to give a 20% tip for not so friendly service. I suggest going elsewhere.
