If you are in Pizzo area, this is the best place to eat fresh and tasteful fish. In a very nice garden, the waiters will propose you what fresh from the sea market and you have very good antipasti, pasta and greatly cooked fish. Also a very good list of Calabrian wines, including the ones recently awarded internationally. View all feedback.
What Aaron Ferrari doesn't like about Da Agostino:
the place is very quiet a little rustic little careless in detail and with a spartan service. The kitchen is however very good and the fresh and excellent quality fish. The price is a little high if you consider the location and the contour. Surely above the overall average with wide margins of improvement. On the prices it is better to calm them even if the quality of the products I think is undisputed. View all feedback.
Complimentary nibbles set the tone of a most enjoyable meal. Lovely setting. Attentive staff. Great value and a wide choice of food. Teenagers all rated the pizza as the best so far this holiday. Lovely atmosphere with a busy restaurant but service and food quality was not affected.
Our family had a very memorable dinner here, the place was full of locals, the staff made us feel at home, not to mention the level of professionalism and service still have yet to be rivaled. hearth baked crispy breadsticks. Meals came out in proper timing. Cuttlefish pasta was a show stopper, swordfish ravioli was amazing, seafood platter was like we were on the dock of the bay. The owner was constantly helping staff and adding to ambiance like a boss should. When we go back to Pizzo, this will be another highlight. Dont miss it.
For once somewhere where the service charge is warranted, lovely homemade breadsticks and nibbles with good service. Meals arrived quickly and at the same time. It has been unusual that all our party have eaten at the same time! Nice meat dishes which tempted most of the party away from our usual pasta/pizza. Only negative is how long it took to get the bill, numerous requests but this did not detract from a pleasant meal.
There is a great variety of pasta, meat and fish dishes available to chose from on the menu, plus a very good choice of wine's are available. The staff are very nice and professional and Antonio (Manager) is very friendly and always does his best communicating with English speaking diners.
Nice restaurant at the resort Colamaio Calabro), with friendly and prepared staff. Good quality fish cooked well, but prices in my opinion disproportionately since we are in a marine resort (it presupposes local fish at km frying of shrimps euro) should be called shrimp fry; Good wine list.
