There is something truly special about a tavern that welcomes everyone without any need for pretense. The patrons and bartenders are welcoming to both newcomers and regulars, remembering names and treating everyone with respect. The diverse crowd at 8 State Street in Pittsford includes people from all walks of life. During my visit, both alone in the afternoon and with my wife in the evening after flying in from Milwaukee, I felt like I had found a second home. By the end of the night, I had formed connections with the owner, his wife, the bartender's dad, and felt like a long-time resident of Pittsford. Thirsty's has a unique atmosphere that cannot be replicated. I highly recommend joining the Thirsty's family.
