One of the best taverns in Andros if we consider the quality-price ratio. Freshly cooked meals with several raw materials from the owner's field. The menu is fixed and does not change. The same dishes are offered every day such as roast beef, meatballs, giant beans, fava beans, fried chicken or pork, etc. All excellent, literally homemade. There are no grilled meats. The fries are the best I've ever had. The prices are normal, you could call them cheap compared to the competition. Village salad €8 with a huge piece of cheese, pan at €10, giants at €7, beer €3. The portions are very filling, for two people and a child we got two. The service is polite although a little slow when it is crowded because the shop is run by the owner and his wife. Of the five nights in Andros we ate at Platanos three of them. In short, simple, clean and well cooked food at very reasonable prices. Oh, and great mountain and full moon views.
