Mckays Fish Chip Shop - Pitlochry

The best chip shop in Pitlochry in my opinion. Have been here several times on visits and never disappointed. Great quality fish, really nice crisp batter and good chips. Never last long enough for a picture! I typically go for a standard supper, large is genuinely large, even my partner who has a big appetite goes for the standard. Yes it's not the cheapest chip shop but you do get what you pay for here.

Wow, best breaded fish supper ever, so good we went back the next night. Would order 1 supper and single fish next time as there was lots of chips. Would highly recommend. Shame we were too late to sit in on both nights ad we were exploring area.

We stayed just one night on our way further north. The room was small but cosy, clean and welcoming. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant; it was of good quality, sizeable portions and served by friendly and helpful staff. The bar/ restaurant area has interesting decor! An enjoyable short stay that made us want to return.

The best fish chips of all time! very beautiful place, in a beautiful city.

At a short break in the pitlochry the woman and I decided to try this nice looking spanier for our lunch. spotless clean and very pleasant staff served us at the counter I order fish sauce and my wife chose a small fish tea. freshly cooked and a very generous portion we both fought to finish and both tasted fantastic! the best fish sauce we cost in Scotland.
