Nice restaurant with a separate vegan menu including a desert over and above the usual sorbets! Friendly staff. Only complaint one of the vegan options had honey listed in it! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fern Cottage:
We had a very good dinner here make sure to ask for the vegan menu, which includes many items which are not marked on the main menu. The atmosphere is a bit dark, so don't go in the daytime if you still want to enjoy the sunlight. View all feedback.
We really enjoyed our meal here. They have a vegan menu and also recommend a vegan wine for us which was really nice and was on special offer. Good portion sizes. We would definitely eat here again
Myself and my family enjoyed our night out however i toke a point off as you have to ask for the vegan menu (I read outside and had lots of opinions)
Ask for the vegan menu when you get a table. They were busy so we sat outside. Wonderful selection although one item clearly states it has honey. The Mediterranean Gnocchi was amazing with eggplant (aubergine) and zucchini. My Omni husband had the Mushroom Risotto and it was very good too.
We popped into Fern Cottage on the strength of previous Google reviews which mentioned a separate vegan menu. Unfortunately we had missed more current reviews which highlighted this was no longer being used. The waiter was very apologetic and pointed us to the only vegan option on the menu a salad priced at £18 for which you could swap chicken for tofu. On a cold and rainy day this wasn't what we were hoping for so we didn't stay.
They don't have a vegan menu anymore, as mains they only have gnocchi (with tofu instead of feta) and grilled veggies (without Tzatziki) as vegan options on the menu. They were very tasty but it's very pricey (we paid 50£ for two people) and sadly still not very vegan friendly.
