I'm always happy to return to Tuscany and one of the things I love most is the cuisine. This time I can't say I've stocked up on good flavors. I had dinner in this place which boasted appetizers and dishes with local products. Unfortunately the quality of the products is really poor. Furthermore, I believe it is unacceptable that in Italy pizza is prepared without real mozzarella while still passing it off as mozzarella. House red wine kept in the fridge and with a bitter aftertaste, undrinkable. I'm sorry I wasn't able to have a constructive discussion with the owners, the impression is that there is a lack of love in doing and that the only focus is on making money.
I was here with a group of friends, there were 20 of us with two menus to choose from, one pizza and one first or second course of your choice already agreed upon for some time, but unfortunately expectations were not reached. Pizza with a cheese that wasn't mozzarella, cold first courses and chilled red wine. Only draft beer is saved. In short... it didn't convince me, I paid €25 for starter and main course with side dish (not including the drink). And in detail: a vegetable appetizer (a bit poor: a dish with a few scattered vegetables including 2 spring onions, 2 slices of aubergines, 4 pieces of potatoes, and they weren't that great, I had the feeling of eating something that I could do me at home taking vegetables out of a jar bought at the store); a second course: I took veal with mushrooms (passable); vegetables (a mini plate of green salad, but very little) and in any case it arrived long after I had finished the second course. Regarding the first courses, I know from my fellow diners that one first course was good (the one with the burrata) and one really wasn't (the pici all'aglione), in fact it was left on the plates. The girl serving the tables was very kind. I wouldn't go back, because it's all too random: if you choose the good dish you're fine, if you choose the one that isn't, it's bad or bad. And it can't work like that.
I chose the menu for 20 euros, side dish and pizza, the side dish was practically non-existent 2 pieces of courgettes 1 piece of aubergine 2 small onions and a mini mini slice of cheese. The pizza was not pizza and above all it was not Roman pizza as the owner defines it in response to other reviews, she has probably never been to Rome and has never eaten Roman pizza. The worst of the worst was the behavior of the owner who never deigned to leave the kitchen to collect the group's discontent but left a young girl who needed to suffer everyone's complaints, I hope that this girl can find a better place to work especially a better employer. He could have saved face a bit by offering coffee, but that wasn't done either... what can I say, don't go there, among other things, even several local people don't recommend it.
