Despite the unprepossessing exterior, succulent seafood, carefully prepared and expertly served, awaits the hungry traveler.
For our last evening of this 10 day visit to Tuscany, we were looking for a place which does excellent Bistecca Fiorentina. Our Italian hotel manager recommended a place which was already full, then resorted to the Nando. It was a splendid evening, maybe except for the Bistecca which was very decent but not top notch. The restaurant is just at the edge of the old town, and seating is only inside. When you enter, you are taken back 20 30 years, into a very traditional, if not old fashioned Italian place. The waiter was the exact same style, but great style with noblesse, a very good knowledge and the capacity to make us feel very special he maneouvred us throught the evening with a traditional Italian full four course menu. As their advertisement says, they are specialized in seafood, and do this with distinction, meat is a little less their specialty.
Nice restaurant with excellent food. The staff we not over friendly but the ambience we pleasant. Surprised that it was very quiet so little atmosphere. Expensive food but good if you like fish
Food has excellent flavour and quality. Wonderful theme of restaurant. Strange event when trying to pay. After paying with card I checked the bill and discovered they had undercharged me €18. I alerted the staff and they were confused but came to charge me for the missing amount. After the second transaction they ended up overcharging me by €1!
This place may not have the most impressive interior (it is comfortable, clean, and nice, though! but the food and service are out of this world. A previous dinner already impressed us so this time we ended up celebrating a family event with their jumbo lobster experience. Excellent choice wonderful primo, awesome lobster, exquisite desert (that Kefir vanilla ice cream is spectacular! . And still, the icing on the top was an impeccable service personal, friendly, professional. I 'd be tempted to write old style, classic but fear this may come across negative, it really is meant as a compliment. It was a wonderful evening!
