Compared to last year the quality isn't just what it was, when we rated excellent, with a number of improvements necessary: The service is slow and the staff inexperienced. It seems locals are preferred over tourists. The music is way too loud. Dishes are collected on trolleys like in a Cantine and thus creating dish noise, not something pertaining to the level of this restaurant. Certain dishes like the anti pasti were very good while others were not acceptable. For example the tuna in the anti pasti was outstanding while the Squid in the mixed platter was unedible like chewing gum. Some of the deserts were also like industrial deserts. The restrooms are acceptable except that they are old and require complete redurbishing to be consistent with the level of the restaurant. All of this are small but important details that can be easily improved to get back to a consistent, distinguished level this restaurant pertains and is fully capable to have.

We returned here after an abse... read more If you want an excellent meal in Tirrenia, with emphasis on sea food and dishes and wines from Sardinia, this is the place to go! We returned here after an absence of several years, and we were pleased to be served again by waitress Flora. For a young lady from Romania, her English (and Italian, of course) are excellent She was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We chose a red wine from Sardinia which was great. The food was excellent- after the complimentary prosecco. We had delicious grilled octopus on potato cream, gnocchi with sea bream and lime, fritto misto and grilled prawns and scampi. Everything was delicious. To top off the meal we had a dessert of pistachio cheesecake-wonderful!. After coffee we were served complimentary mirto liquor. What a great meal for our last evening of this trip to Italy.

When we ordered we... read more Good food and great service. We were served by a lovely English speaking lady whose name we didn’t get but who had worked there for 16 years. When we ordered we also asked for water (which we confirmed with her colleague we wanted when we were seated but we were then ignored for a good while) and she apologised her colleague hadn’t brought it or offered us an aperitif so she brought us complimentary Prosecco. She was so helpful with our dietary requirements (I am vegetarian and my husband is gluten intolerant). When we pointed out his dessert hadn’t been put on the bill she checked with her manager and then told us it was free of charge, before bringing us some extra dessert of mini meringues. She also offered us some complimentary ice cold limoncello (my favourite) and kept telling us to take our time and enjoy. Exemplary service that ensured a lovely evening!
