Century, which has been converted into a atmospheric, modern, small but fine... read more The forge in the tranquil village of Pirk is a former forge from the 17th century. Century, which has been converted into a atmospheric, modern, small but fine restaurant. The restaurant is located in the beautifully designed town centre and is distinguished by Michelin (Teller and Gault Millaud (1 hood). The forging does not have an outdoor area, but large windows that are completely open provide the feeling of a winter garden in summer. Pirk is located a bit away from the federal road, just a few kilometers from the highway exit, but it is not a place where you happen to pass. You have to come here in a targeted way, e.g. to feed in the forge. There are also plenty of parking facilities near the restaurant. In the restaurant itself there is only approx. 10 tables, served upscale kitchen. I chose a 4-course menu for 67 € (5 courses 82 € . There are 2 additional Amuse Bouche at the beginning and end of the menu for each menu. All courses were beautiful and creative and have tasted excellent. Only the taste of the main course (Huhn was somewhat too much of the salt in the sauce. My accompaniment had the fried zander from the normal card and there everything would have been perfect with a pinch of less salt. Maybe the cook was just a little too in love this summer day. In total we had a very nice evening with a great food, where price/performance are consistent. The only service in the restaurant this evening was nice and accommodating. The Michelin cellar is justified and from my point of view, the forging would have earned quite 2 hoods. But there are 5 stars at Google from me. Since the restaurant is quite small, prior reservation is strictly recommended. Card payment is possible. We look forward to the new discovery in our restaurant list and will certainly come back.
