Nice little place. Has a dog called smokey that runs around and barks, but then 10 minutes later sits at your bar stool looking for snacks. The food service ends at 4 am (we visited the weekend) and you can eat in the bar. Many places nearby or offer limited services after the summer, so plan accordingly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Mountain Grille Mace Meadows Golf Course:
Don't waste the trip as a pioneer. No, her course has not become better, I and my party have changed the rules so that we can move our ball to the next grass neck, so we are not constantly on dirt or in a gopherhole. Most Fairways look like someone's backyard lawn that has been ignored for years. View all feedback.
Great breakfast and a beautiful environment great service will definitely be back.
Try to give this place a chance on many occasions, but it was a disappointment every time. We tried lunch and dinner; everything from the steak dinners to their salads and sandwiches and nothing was worth the money. Order chips and salsa and we paid over $8 for a small part of the dollar store Pace brand salsa and cheap chips, the Bretzels are the Bretzels that you will probably get from the freezer isle in the grocery store microwave. We got the New York Steak dinner, never gave the warm rolls with butter, as stated on the menu, my steak and potatoes were very cold and my husband was warm. Steaks were mostly gristle and tough salads, sandwiches and everything we tried were pre-packed ingredients and unstoppable. We are an integral understanding of short staff. We are the most patient, but the wait for food and the fact that it comes to the table COLD and is hardly warm unacceptable. After years of work in the food industry and exploring local cuisine in the Amador and Calaveras districts, this is probably one of the most disappointing places I have in the area. We don't wait for fresh, warm food, but neither was ours. Salads, appetizers and other foods are prepacked, frozen foods. There is so much potential in this place, but their food lacks the love and passion that could make it a great culinary place for our community to come together and enjoy. The staff was very nice and the view is also nice, so I give them 2 stars. This place could be an amazing place when they began to make their own dishes instead of serving prefabricated ingredients. Lack of love, creativity and passion in their food is obvious.
