The food and drinks are delicious! However, you should expect to wait about 20-30 minutes after placing your order, which seems a bit excessive given that they could serve the food as soon as it's ready. On a positive note, the staff is very friendly. Just a heads up, parking at the restaurant is limited. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Yaprak Kitchen:
The food was tasty, but the service was quite slow. I'm a big fan of Turkish cuisine and typically expect generous portions; unfortunately, Yaprak fell short in that regard. We ordered chips along with our Family Special designed for 4-5 people, but they arrived only after we had finished the platter. Yaprak is a lovely restaurant with a nice decor and a lovely ambience. The starters were delicious. The Calamari and the Pan Fried Octopus were both piping hot, tasty and very fresh. For our mains, we both ordered the Sarma Chicken Beyti. We waited about 10 15 minutes for our mains to arrive, after the finished starter plates were taken away, which I personally think is a nice amount of time between the two courses. Unfortunately the main meals were quite disappointing. The food wasn't piping hot, the rice/bulgur and the beyti were somewhat warm and the bread wrapping around the beyti wasn't the softest or the freshest either. I was again disappointed when the bill arrived, to see that we had been charged a 13% service charge. I don't mind tipping service staff when the service is good. I'd go as far as asking the waiters/waitresses if they personally receive the tips before I leave one, but I take umbrage when the venue imposes it upon me, especially as it doesn't guarantee that the money will go to the staff. Anyhow, it's not uncommon for a service charge to be included in London restaurants when there are big party bookings, but we were two people, who were already paying above average prices for below average, warm food in a high street Turkish Restaurant. Overall, it was quite a disappointing evening for us.
The menu is quite unique, featuring dishes like crispy fried whitebait and lamb shank, both of which are delicious. However, the restroom is a bit cramped.

The Family Special itself was flavorful, and the meat was cooked just the way I like it, but the portion size was disappointing.

Delicious Turkish food. I had the mixed grill and all the meat was especially juicy! very recommended when in the opposite.
