Le Jardin des Cygnes - Pineuilh

We stayed for one night whilst viewing a property. At the last minute I messaged Philippe and asked if he could do a meal for us in the evening. He served us three courses of exquisite French classic cuisine. Also his wine choice was exceptional and all local. The room was very comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the river. We could not of asked for more but we got it as breakfast also was wonderful. Very fresh with home-made preserves and great coffee. Bravo Philippe, we will come again. Merci

Although the house in on the main road the rooms are all at the back and so within just feet of the river Dordogne and very quiet. There are just four rooms all with double beds and large en suite shower rooms on the first floor with lovely views over the river. Our host had asked if we would like to have dinner there and we were delighted that we had agreed. What a dinner! Lovely fresh produce from his garden and fantastic regional cooking lots of duck and great wine. Obviously as he is cooking just for you there is no choice so be sure to discuss what you would like to eat in advance. Breakfast was equally delicious with lots of home made jams.

This is what you think of when you visit a French park in your dreams. Very relaxing place with bookcases, park benches, and beautiful sceneries.
