Reviews summary
Nestled in Pinehurst, this restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere complemented by live music and a varied menu, featuring tasty fare like crab cakes and baked shrimp. Guests often rave about the ambiance and friendly service, contributing to a welcoming dining experience. However, some patrons have faced challenges with the waitstaff, particularly regarding food allergies and service attentiveness. While the menu caters well to those seeking classic pub dishes, the lack of accommodating service has deterred some from returning. Overall, the establishment presents a mixed dining experience, promising enjoyment for those who appreciate casual, hearty meals in a lively setting.

The bartender was clearly busy, and despite our being patient and waiting for service, she was unnecessarily rude and curt. We left. We are new to the area and this will be our first and last visit to this pub. _________________ You clearly did notreview the correct footage. We asked the hostess if we could sit at the bar and she said yes.....we never sat at a table. Ithought we waited very patiently for somebody to acknowledge our presence. We are not Irish and had no idea that Sangria was a party foul at an Irish pub. Regardless...your bartender was rude , unwelcoming, and her tone was one of disgust. Sorry youwere busy....but that is not our fault. My relatives have been in Pinehurst for almost 40 years and have found almost evryestablishment to be friendly and welcoming. Maybe introspection should be on you menue.....as well as drinks for people who arenot beer or whiskey lovers.
Atmosphere and live music was nice downstairs. Food was pretty good and menu was dense which was nice. Waitstaff was really a bad experience and worth commenting on for people with allergies-we had a severe allergy in the group and of all the places I?veeaten in Pinehurst, the response from our waitress was less than helpful and her only attempt at accommodating was telling us toorder the vegetarian salad. A little more effort would have gone a long way. *in response to owner: pretty pathetic response.Your waitstaff should know the menu front to back especially when peoples health is in play. In addition, if they don?t know, the appropriate response would be to just go and ask the chef for advice or for the chef to come out. In the same way you tellme the waitress can?t cook, I can?t go in the kitchen to track down your chef. Why don?t you take a little constructivecriticism from your bad reviews rather than bashing the patrons? Now I won?t be back at all.
My husband enjoyed one crab cake and I had the other, very tasty and one was plenty for one person. He then had the hamburger and I had the breaded shrimp, both very good although I wd hv liked less breading.
The Guinness is great. The bar tender, Rob (I think) does a perfect pour. Service by Chrissy was marvelous. Food was great.
Great Irish pub atmosphere. Super fun staff. Great service. Food was made fresh, which was very tasty. If you're looking to feel as if you're in Dublin this is not the place. Everything is kinda Irishy-American. With mild visits to Irish beers and food. If you're looking for a super cozy place to have good drinks and great food. Then make your way here. You won't be disappointed.

The updated menu at Dugans Pub is fantastic! This is definitely the top spot in Pinehurst. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's an ideal place to catch up with friends while enjoying either a light lunch or a hearty meal in a cozy environment.
