What User doesn't like about Negril:
I went in for the mild beef patty and thought the lunch deal $4.99) was something I couldn't pass up. I thought the long line was a sign of loyal customers so I decided to wait. I enjoyed the beef patty, but the cabbage and plantains need some kind of seasoning or salt. The cabbage was hard and crunchy. The plantains were not ripe and firm. I was expecting both to be soft. The fried chicken was good, but I don't thin... View all feedback.
The food is delicious. The smiling faces as you go in are awesome! The DJ on Friyays not Friday with Karaoke Night is soooo much fun! And Sean is fun... today it's not disappointed!
Service is good the meat was a bit hard although the bone was soft. I'm not sure how that happened. Presentation was good as well
Upon approaching the restaurant, the establishment is in a nice area where the is good parking. Inside is very sanitary with chairs and tables to sit and enjoy the food. The was amazing with very good portions. I bought a large fried chicken and curry goat with rice and peas. I was enough to feed to adults and the taste of the food was on point. I also had their rum and raisin ice cream which was good as well. It was an amazing experience!!!
As a first-time customer, I was disappointed with my experience. The red snapper and chicken tasted like they were leftovers that had been reheated, resulting in tough and dry meat that lacked freshness. The rice and peas had only a few peas in it—about three or four. The cabbage was decent, but the mac and cheese stood out as the best dish I tried. Overall, I didn't feel that the meal was worth the $43 I spent.
For vegetarians, there are great options like rice and peas, rice and beans, macaroni and cheese, various fish dishes, a selection of steamed vegetables, and vegetable stew. If you have dietary restrictions, they offer no-salt veggie options as well. There's a large parking area available, and the dine-in space is clean and kid-friendly.
