It was a quick stop for a beer and to share a pizza. The pizza was great. The crust was perfectly crispy and the toppings were tasty. Sat outside and took in the surroundings. The staff was fine. Not as friendly as at some of the other establishments. View all feedback.
What Rosalee Bahringer doesn't like about 49° North Pizza:
We had dinner here on a 5 day trip through Glacier and Waterton while staying at the campground in town. We had a pizza and salad. Good food, convenient location, friendly service. View all feedback.
We were two for lunch. Had one small pizza and one medium. Portion sizes were adequate. Pizza was served hot. Good crust (although we couldn't tell the difference between one ordered with thin crust and the other with regular crust). Tasty toppings. Service was adequate but less efficient and friendly than one usually finds in Waterton. With a couple of sodas the bill was close to $50 without tip and we found it expensive for the quantity and quality of food, but prices generally in Waterton are high. Would we return? Probably not.
It was a hot day and we needed something cold to drink and shade. This was the right spot. The server found us a table in the shade and brought cold drinks immediately. We took our time with no pressure to order. We were traveling and did not have access to refrigerator, so my husband and I chose to share a pizza. Non-gluten it was! Typically, I'm not a fan of non gluten pizzas--this one was delicious. Crust was tasty and the topping were great. Truly recommend 49 degrees to any one in the mood for pizza and a drink. I had the ginger beer which was delicious.
I ordered a small pepperoni pizza with a bacon add on. Both meats were undetectable. The crust was tough and tasted like cardboard. You could do as well from the supermarket freezer. Avoid this.
Hooray for people who know how to do gluten free for those who suffer from celiac. The gluten free pizza crust is AMAZING, and I was asked whether I needed separate knives and cutting boards (so they could provide no cross contamination). The whole family enjoyed their own pizzas, and I had gf pizza for breakfast the next day -- and it warmed up well with no soggy crust. What a find!
Id go back again in a heart beat!! they have GF dough and options for vegetarian folks. Very well located!!
