It was made with cornmeal and it reminded me of my grandma's cooking. The owner is so friendly and we love the atmosphere. This is going to be one of our regular dining spots now.

The... read more The okra and chicken fried steak at Buff's Grill are quite tasty. The okra shares the same breading as the catfish, which is a clever choice in my opinion. The chicken fried steak has a good balance between breading and steak. My only suggestions would be to add a pinch of pepper to the country gravy and use a more cheddar-forward cheese in the mac and cheese. Aside from that, the portion sizes and the flavor of the meat make it well worth the price.

However, the glass of water tasted strange, almost as if it contained chemicals or fluoride, indicating it might not have been properly filtered. Other than the water, everything else was excellent.
