Tonight we chose a little dessert at Mad Dog's Ice Cream. They have an ice cream burrito, which is ice cream wrapped in a cotton candy burrito and the ice cream in a cloud, the ice cream on the top of the cotton candy (pictured here). Ice wasn't bad, but it's not the best. You stop here more for the attraction of ice in cotton candy filled then the taste of the ice. Diabetics should probably avoid this place. It's a... What Rob Sweet doesn't like about Mad Dog's Creamery:
We went to Mad Dog 's at a bad time. Two of the three people working there were busy with a large order or something and other tasks, leaving one poor young man juggling customer orders, cooking funnel cakes, and running the register. Needless to say, it took a long time to get our ice cream cones. But, the kid was cheerful and apologetic throughout. The ice cream was OK, and we would come back again if it weren 't f... We visited hear on vacation. Milkshakes were good, funnel cake was great. Just wish they had a sign on top of the one ice cream shelf to let you know there was more around. Note didn't see the other side sign it's on a rope pole until after we paid. But the girl was and let me change. Differently will be back
Stopped here while hubby and eldest daughter went to sample moonshine. Came because of the snow cones, but they didn’t have my favorite flavor (pina colada). Tried the twist in a waffle cone instead, and it was good, but the ice cream seemed to melt twice as fast as any other ice cream. Got two doggie donuts for the pups (doggy cookies shaped like donuts).
Really long wait in line/slow service. But the staff was friendly, and the ice cream was good. Expect to wait for a while, and prices are a LITTLE high, but we were satisfied!
The ice cream wasn't bad, but it was expensive, almost $5 for a single scoop of ice cream, and they charged 50 cents for sprinkles and this was all we got.

Mad Dog 's is the first and only business I 've seen in all my travels around Pigeon Forge that has a no concealed carry sign on their door. I was genuinely surprised and said to myself, Really? In Tennessee of all places? . Sorry guys, but that sign cost you return customers...
