Aintree Lodge - Pietermaritzburg

It was peaceful and absolutely beautiful. I'd say it's more a 4 stars. Service is amazing and the food is impeccable. Rooms are at home and have a very warm ambience. I would recommend this place especially for a house away from home

Aintree Lodge is a beautiful and cozy guest house. The rooms are clean, spacious and tidy. The staff is friendly. You have a beautiful garden. Parking is safe and there are many parking spaces. Parking is close to your room. The restaurant is great. Go nowhere else to eat, the restaurant also has a bar and a TV. Everything in one place. Have fun.

I went to our Church Christmas dinner and it was fabulous! The place was so nicely set out and the staff most helpful. The food was really super! Load shedding was not a problem for them as the had a contingency plan. I was very impressed and would love to go there again! Lovely setting.

Booked in for a wedding over the weekend. Quiet place but rather old especially the bedding. I was disappointed with how the security guard responded to some of our needs. We asked for an iron and was told that because the reception is closed over the weekends that means there is no iron. After speaking to one of the helpers we finally got assistance. Our final blow was when we were told that they do not serve breakfast, yet its a B&B even their keys have a time frame of when breakfast will be served but we were told that we need to book for breakfast, this was not mentioned upon booking. Disappointed!!!

The place is safe, beautiful and peaceful the staff and management are just the cherry on top great lodge!!!
