La Poste - Pierre-de-Bresse

We've been to the place for years and it never disappoints. Helpful and friendly staff, good value fixed price menu, especially for lunch.

We decided to drive the back roads from Burgundy to Geneva. We stopped in Pierre-De -Bresse to visit the Chateau. Just across from the chateau is the Hotel De La Post. We popped in for lunch and what an experience!! The menu is amazing! If you want great french food that is cooked with love stop here!! We ordered an aperitif and we were served an fab amuser la bouche. We ordered the 35 euro lunch. We started with oeuf en meurette. It is now my favorite dish!! My husband had chicken. I had frog legs and perch. Next was the cheese platter followed by desert and coffee. The meal was so well prepared with attention to detail. The wine was delicious too! I wish Hotel de la Post was not so far away!! Thank you chef for a great meal!!

Hotel de la Poste is only a restaurant,no rooms.We had a lovely meal there;the food is fresh and creative at very reasonable prices.The wine list is very good,with a few well priced gems in it.Service is very friendly,a bit slow that day;but the place was crowded that Sunday.Wiser to make a reservation.

We put a dinner for twenty friends who had just arrived for the weekend festivities for my daughter's wedding. We had a prix fixed menu at a reasonable price. The scallops appetizer was terrific but the 'chicken' was average at best. The service was accommodating to our large and diverse group, including ensuring a vegetarian option was provided.
