The first and most obvious thing they notice about la terrazza del chiostro is the view that is an incredible, wide landscape of the surrounding Tuscan landscape. all seats are placed in the valley. the second thing they notice is the price. most dishes served in this restaurant, at least when my wife and I visited, were about 25% higher than the Italian norm. that is, eating the service, ambiente and yes, this view, compensates for the difference in price. When my wife and I visited september 2022 pienza, we happened on this restaurant during a tour through this part of the toskana. our seats were in the second row, i.e. a row behind the outside wall of the restaurant. the art and wise as the tables are oriented, there is no space in the terrace. it is also worth mentioning that the number of tables is limited to allow this, which makes the culinary experience more intimate. the food service lasted longer than expected, but the staff seemed to be attentive to all tables, so it was most likely a case of a busy lunchtime for the kitchen staff. that waited was worth it. my wife ordered a seafood special of the day while I ordered the gnocchi that were both excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits the beautiful city pienza.

This is a wonderful holiday experience with helpful and happy employees. the intention is to die and the Brunello-Montalcino is fabulous. I'm sorry about the previous review, but our lunch was a highlight!

Abbiamo scelto il ristorante perché attratti dalla sua location. Si gode di un panorama fantastico sulla Val d'Orcia e con la luce del tramonto il paesaggio acquista ancora di più fascino. L'accoglienza dello staff è veramente calorosa e mette a proprio agio il cliente. Il menù è straordinario: curato, vario, originale. I vini proposti sono di alta qualità e c'è ampia gamma di opzioni. Il servizio è eccellente e da tutto il personale non viene trascurato nessun dettaglio. Il conto è appropriato per quello che consumi. Un'esperienza da ripetere, torneremo presto!
