My wife and I traveled to this wonderful hotel to visit rural Tuscany and we couldn’t have been more pleased. A440 is perfectly situated in Val d’orcia for exploring Tuscany and is an easy walk up a hill into Pienza. This is a rural spot, so that walk is dark and the access roads are dirt, but everything is completing assessable. Some may complain about the roughness of the dirt road but we had no issues in our rented Fiat 500 The service, food, and atmosphere at the hotel was excellent. The view was perfect and picturesque Tuscany, while the rooms were clean and air conditioned, if that’s very important to you. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

We were guests of the A440 in Tuscany from 31 July to 4 August. It was an excellent and very pleasant experience that we recommend and that we hope to repeat as soon as possible. The place is enchanting and well located, you can reach the village of Pienza on foot through a suggestive forest in about 10 minutes. The view offered by the structure is breathtaking, the silence and peace are remarkable. Our room was beautiful, large and carefully cleaned. Air-conditioned and with the possibility of regulating the temperature independently. The futon positioned under the large skylight to see the stars is a brilliant idea as well as a very pleasant experience. We liked the organic swimming pool whose absence of chlorine or other chemical additives made itself felt, on the positive side, clean and well equipped with deckchairs and umbrellas as well as two gazebos. We always found a free place and clean water. Good breakfast with fresh products from their garden, fantastic eggs with courgettes from the garden, and always served by staff commendable for their education and kindness. We had dinner every evening at the property and were satisfied, excellent food and very generous portions. Reception always on point, they responded to all our practical and tourist requests. The staff is a strong point of the structure, kind and always present. Ample and free parking. Wifi always available. To visit their vegetable garden and admire the presence of many aromatic plants. In summary we had a really good time.
