What Edmund Reichel doesn't like about Picture Butte Hotel:
This review is a difficult one to write, but I will be honest! The restaurant needs to balance their prices with expectations. We really enjoyed our time here! It is affordable ($50/night) and the staff are incredibly friendly. We had a great time interacting with the locals. However, if someone is looking for a five-star hotel or franchise standards, this may not be the best choice. The rooms are clean but slightly... View all feedback.

Great evening!
Had an opportunity to go the "Butte" tonight and an enjoyable evening. The food was very nicely presented and served by the co-owner. I had 6 oz steak and my wife had the salmon salad. I had to help her finish her portion. Our friends had the salmon salad and the stroganoff. My steak was medium rare and tender (the way i like it). The others in our group said that their was very tasty. After the meal we were talked into an apple crisp desert which just topped the meal off nicely. Because things were not overly busy we had a great opportunity to talk with the owner and found that he had worked on cruise ships in the food operation area for about seven years. I was interested to learn that he had spent time in the Caribbean and visited numerous ports. He really liked Argentina. Being a prairie boy I find it interesting to learn about people that have come to Canada from other parts of the world. We are so fortunate to live in a country where we can openly share and learn from others!
Always great food and service. Friendly staff, renovations did wonders to the bar. Come check it out!!
Great variety in food and good prices. Well worth the 20 minute trip from Lethbridge. Owner is very friendly -- Really 5 star food.
I went here for lunch on a Friday with some co-workers. Although I had never been here prior to this visit I am told by those I dined with that this place had been recently renovated and is under new ownership. The restaurant was bright, clean and did look new inside. The place was not very big but was full. The waitress was engaging and took our order promptly. We were able to get our food in a reasonable amount of time to eat and get back to work within our hour break.I was pleasantly surprised with the food in appearance and taste, having ordered the prime rib dinner I wasn't sure what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed it. My co-workers had hamburgers and really enjoyed them as well. The prices were good for the food ordered and I will defiantly eat there again.
