Thai One On - Pickering

I found a long piece of hair in my water tonight. I didn’t realize until after I drank all of the water as the hair was stuck to the bottom of the glass. I told the server and she gave me a dry sorry and offered me another water. Maybe she didn’t comprehend that I drank a full glass of hair. I lost my appetite after that and got the bill. These people have no clue what customer service is. I’m disgusted and I’m so upset while typing this… first time in my life this has happen to me and I will never go here again.

I ordered take put and the mango salad got my son's approval (good flavours and big portion). Be careful with the packaging as juices were leaking out of the paper bags.

For many years my family and I loved this restaurant. But this past 2 years the service and quality of the food declined exponentially. I ordered a pad thai for my wife and when I got home with the food. They gave me fried rice instead of the pad thai. I called and return the food and they made my order again. When I got home driving after overall drive of 1 hour the order missing the cutlery, no peanuts in the side which is usually goes with the pad thai and the food tasted like plain rice noodles and the sauce was just pooled in the one side of the container. Honestly of all the years of support to this restaurant throughout covid19 to present. I felt like the management doesn't give a dime about their patrons. This is totally heart breaking

Oh how times have changed. During The Pandemic, Thai One On rocked. You could order your food and expect it ready in 15 minutes hot and fresh. Their App kept you informed when the food was ready, and it would send you a confirmation to walk in and pick it up. Tonight I was surprised and disappointed in the wait time. My phone alerted me that the food was ready later than normal, so I walked in and gave my name. The obviously new girl behind the counter told me to sit down and my food would be out in 2 minutes. More than 10 minutes later, I was still waiting. I then approached the counter and asked have you forgotten about me. The girl said what was your name again, and when I responded, she produced the food which had obviously been ready for awhile. The normally hot food was cold upon arrival at home. It seems like new management or poor customer service compared to a year ago. Food was sweet, but decent after being warmed up in the microwave for 2 minutes. Try the Golden Curry Lamb or Mango Red Thai Beef if you like good but cold Thai food…
