Nice place, great food. It was the first time I had been there. It was highly recommended and I was not disappointed. Friendly staff, family run. Very clean and modern decor. Not overpriced good size portions.Vegetarian options: Most dishes have vegetarian options. View all feedback.
What Jonathon Donovan doesn't like about Paul Wong Fine Chinese Cuisine:
Not sure if this was a one-off or not, but this one experience will not bring us back. We ordered two combo specials through Skip the Dishes and were not happy with either. Sweet and Sour spare ribs were obviously a frozen product with little to no meat and the chicken fried rice and beef with mixed vegetables were very bad.Back to Dragon Gem for us. View all feedback.
A highly disappointing meal and certainly feeling scammed after this experience. Their meat products are skimpy and without quality in portion or preparation. Far too much celery as a filler, which is shameful. Of all the items I’ve ordered, barely any carrots, not even onions were found; canned mushrooms??? Really upsetting, considering they’re charging you good money. The final burn was the so-called “Spring Rolls” being filled only with bean sprouts. Here’s what I ordered:1. Cantonese Chow Main, which had scarcely any shrimps, no squid, some pieces of corn and full of celery. The noodles were drowned in a starch slurry… not even a proper sauce… $18.952. Beef with Broccoli, which had more broccoli than meat. All drowned in water, so it was soggy. No garlic. Not even ginger. $16.953. Chicken fried rice but hardly any chicken in it. Tons of rice. $11.954. “Sweet and Sour” Ribs, which aren’t even ribs. They’re deep-fried breaded bones… I was told they’re Spareribs, but that was a lie. All of which were drowned in your typical sweet red sauce. $11.505. “Mixed Vegetables” which contained more celery than anything, some snap peas and a few pieces of corn and broccoli. $11.506. Spring rolls that weren’t even filled with anything other than bean sprouts… the audacity to charge $2.75 per piece. All in all, I will never order from this place again.Absolutely absurd.
I have been going here for years and today I ordered many of my favourites and almost all of them were terrible. They have changed their rice and the quality is very poor. There chicken balls are bites really and hard as rocks. Their spring rolls tasted spoiled and smelled terrible. I will never eat there again. Bye bye to a 20 year tradition!
Best chinese food ever, terrific staff, the restaurant is beautiful with a nice fish pond near front entrance. The prices are very low and you get lots of delicious food. Highly recommend to everyone.
We found this place by accident traveling along the 401 and decided we wanted Chinese for lunch and Yelp led us here. Greeted by the owner who obviously (and deservedly) has pride in his restaurant. Clean cloth table cloth and napkins a nice touch. We had two of the combination plate and found everything prepared wonderfully. The restaurant makes their own egg rolls, plum sauce, spicy mustard and sweet and sour sauce. All delicious. Highly recommend this place. We’ll be back.Parking: Lots of close by parking.
This is a great restaurant! Our server is amazing! He is very attentive and friendly! He goes above and beyond to see that we have everything we need. Love it
