Was Anonym at Chuuk a mag?
Last night, I finally found a restaurant in Pickering that has raised the bar when it comes to serving incredibly fresh, local, and delicious crab. The owners have done an outstanding job creating a fantastic atmosphere in the restaurant; the décor is both tasteful and modern, with attention to detail evident throughout the room. What Zubair Muwwakil dislikes about Chuuk:
Food is not particularly good. Birria was good, and the corn and chips taste better the more you eat it weirdly enough. Place is noisy and busy. Many people and loud music playing. I went on a Saturday evening so maybe I did it to myself? Lol. Not my vibe though at the end of the day. You have a hard time hearing the people you came with and/or the server. Wouldn’t go again personally. Mediocre food and high prices b... View all feedback.

Nice restaurant in an unassuming location. I was surprised at the vibe and how many people were here during a week day lunch. Music was great. Location and decor was nice gave a very latino vibe. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I was with a group of 4. Menu is a bit small to choose from but we wanted tacos so that’s what we came for. In house ground taco shells are super soft. We tried chicken, beef and fish tacos. Presentation was impeccable. Please note I am not giving a bad review b

Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Pickering. It’s absolutely beautiful, food is amazing and service is quick and friendly. Very often when we order octopus from a restaurant it is often over cooked (to our preference) and too charred. But here, it was absolute perfection. So tender! The queso fundido appetizer is also worth raving about. Great selection of cocktails and the local coffee is superb. Would highly recommend this place without hesitation. I need to come back fo
Stumbled upon this place on a little road trip… happy we did! Designed with an airy open minimalist vibe and our server chelsea was incredibly friendly. All the Vegan options hit the spot Escabeche (perfectly pickled vegetables), cassava fries (crispy and seasoned), Rajas tacos were filling…and the churros for the finale were like nothing we’ve had before…I inquired how they make the vegan dulce de leche and it is done with care (only served if it’s the perfect consistency)!
Customer service was really nice but this place is expensive! $13 for a drink!!! We order Guac and chips for app. Fish and beef tacos and grilled chicken and grilled shrimp. Food was tasty but for the price this is a place for only those special occasions. Portions wernt that generous also. Be prepared.

My partner and I finally had the chance to visit this restaurant tonight after admiring it for a few weeks. We live on the road, so it's very convenient for us. The dining experience was spectacular, and the drinks were top-notch. My partner ordered a "Maya Mule" and found it to be very refreshing. I opted for a "Chúuk Margarita" which was beautifully crafted, strong, and perfectly balanced in terms of tartness. We shared a serving of guacamole that was out of this world, tasting just like it does in Mexico. The crispy, salted chips were the perfect accompaniment. We also shared orders of "Fried Squid Tacos" and "Cochinita Pibil Tacos" (similar to a pulled pork style or "carnitas" in Mexico). The squid exceeded my expectations - perfectly seasoned, cooked, and not overly fishy as some seafood dishes can be. I would definitely order it again. However, the standout dish was the cochinita tacos, featuring perfectly marinated pork on authentic Mexican-style tortillas. Absolutely delicious. The experience was reminiscent of a modern twist on traditional Yucatan-style cuisine. We can't wait to come back!

The owners have done an outstanding job creating a fantastic atmosphere in the restaurant; the décor is both tasteful and modern, with attention to detail evident throughout the room. The drink menu is extensive, offering everything from unique cocktails to a wide selection of wines and locally brewed craft beer. While the menu may be limited, I appreciate restaurants that focus on a few dishes and prioritize quality over quantity; I can only hope they continue to change up the menu over time. Overall, this is a fantastic spot in Pickering for foodies of all kinds - they won't be disappointed.
