We went for the Sunday Buffet in late July. The scenery heading up Hwy 11 is always great. As I mentioned, we went for the Buffet. It was good. The price $17 p/person) was reasonable and included choice of drink and dessert. I thought that the fish and meatloaf were great. I don’t even know where to begin with this… We stopped after our visit at Sassafras Mountain hoping to get a good bite to eat and boy should we have kept driving! It took our waitress about 10 minutes to realize we were even there, another 45 minutes to an HOUR for our food and then our food was terrible. First time here, we literally waited 45 minutes on lunch. They were not busy, only four customers. We waited so long we thought they forgot about us. Food was horrid, tasteless they don't use seasoning. The fried chicken was raw with blood and didn't notice until I had already eaten some of it. I left feeling sick. Never coming back.
We went to the ice cream shop and got two cups of ice cream and some peanut butter fudge. I had the peachy peach which was fabulous and my husband had the cookie dough ice cream. Very much recommended. People were super friendly
The hostess is EXTREMELY RUDE. THE FOOD IS MEDIOCRE. NEVER AGAIN. VERY UNFRIENDLY. VERY DISSATISFIED.
Great place to stop for lunch or just get dessert. Very friendly people.
As a Charlestonian this was my first time and definitely not my last time to visit Aunt Sues! Who ever speaks bad on this place is coco for coco puffs lol. Anyways, there was no wait time. Establishment was clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. Me and my girlfriend had different selection of foods. The fried green tomatoes, friend pickles, fried okra and the chicken fried chicken. All fried items was not over fried or soggy they was fried with perfection! Definitely highly recommend this place. Closet thing to Cracker Barrel for that area, if not better in my opinion!!
