Donut Time
Description
Nestled in small-town charm, this family-run diner serves standout comfort food—from juicy, highly praised hamburgers to fresh, fast-selling donuts and generous, homestyle breakfasts. Clean, old-timey décor, quick service, and a welcoming owner create a cozy, conversational atmosphere where locals and visitors linger over coffee and hearty plates. Credit/debit accepted and portions often warrant take-home boxes. A lone hygiene lapse was reported by a guest, but most diners rave about the quality and friendly service that keep them returning.

We are quite new in the area and love to support the local business. We were here twice now and it was excellent both times. The owner, JJ, is very friendly and outgoing. He needs the time to get to know each of his customers. The donuts are all fresh and incredible, but they sell very fast. His breakfast menu has many options. The attached photo is a steak omelet with peppers, onions and cheese. My page of the hash browns is also fully loaded. These include onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, ham, cheese and chili. The portions are very tasty and generous, as I usually take half for a second meal home. If you are happy enough to see applesitter on the display, you can quickly grab as they are one of his best sellers. I hope you enjoy it!
My husband and I tried Donut time last week and it was pretty good! We tend to meet all local mom pop sites and decide which we are going back. This is a place we will return to.
I would have rated this restaurant a 4.5 (the biscuits were a bit crumbly and the sausage was quite small), but I was put off by a staff member who was counting money in front of the register while having her long braid down. She then placed her hand right on the edge of a customer's glass. It seemed like she was all over the place behind the counter, and I noticed she didn't wash her hands. I was concerned before I received my order, but the food ended up being excellent, and I'm glad I went through with it. However, I wouldn’t feel comfortable buying donuts when she’s working.
Country breakfast was like Momma's cook ' just a smidge better! I always ate what I grew up right now. I tried cooked geese in different places. No. But all of you. My daughter was surprised I ate her. I give the entire dining experience 10. Waitresses were great hometowns! Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.
