Nice place, renovated, clean and spacious in the historic center of Piacenza... Good quality/price ratio... The sore points are that tigelle and gnocco are frozen, but not because they are frozen, which is reported on the menu anyway, but because it makes the tigella not soft but compact and therefore heavier on digestion, while the fried gnocco still remains light and dry, absolutely not heavy... The cold cuts platter which must have been of local cured meats, included some salami which was not even remotely from Piacenza... Furthermore the cold cuts were cut a little thick, if they had been cut a little thinner, with the same weight could have obtained double the slices, with a different scenic effect... At the time of booking I asked for a table for 3 people for 8.00/8.30 pm, but I was asked if I couldn't do it for 8.45pm, so, thinking that everything would be occupied for the desired time, I willingly agreed for 8.45pm... So when I arrived at 8.45pm I noticed that there were a total of 4 people in the place arranged on two different tables, of which a couple came out when we were sitting down... Good impressions: fast and efficient service, friendly staff, the tigelle are served very hot and wrapped in a thick napkin which maintains the heat so that, by filling them with cheeses or cured meats, these have the possibility of melting slightly, good draft beer, The cheese platter is also good with a good assortment and accompanied by pear compote, caramelized onions and honey... The stracciatella served with the vegetable platter is also very good... I will definitely return...
You can choose between a dish of your choice (vegan and vegetarian options also available) fried gnocco and tigella with a tray of savory and sweet sauces to match.
