The restaurant offers some vegan and vegetarian options, although none of the curries are suitable for vegans or vegetarians. The atmosphere was pleasant.

The bu... read more I requested a vegan black bean burger but was informed that they were unable to make one. As an alternative, I ordered the vegan slider and garlic fries. The burger came with a passion fruit and fresh sauce that I did not enjoy, as the burger itself was dry and unappetizing. The fries were also overly greasy. I paid 180 Baht for two small burgers.

While the menu leans towards non-... read more Refuge Restaurant is a lovely small restaurant located in the hills overlooking Kata Beach. It is situated within CC Hideaway. While the menu leans towards non-vegetarian options, there are still 6-8 choices for vegans and even more for vegetarians. The prices are around 200 baht per dish, which is not extremely cheap, but the quality of the food is excellent. We tried the vegan kabobs, sliders, pancakes, and tofu dishes, all of which were delicious. The drink menu is also impressive. The restaurant is a bit of a distance from the beach, so it may be convenient to take a quick tuk-tuk or taxi. The staff even kindly offered us complimentary transport back to Kata Beach. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience!

If you are walking be ready for a very steep hill climb. They do have a shuttle. Call for details) Gorgeous interior. Very friendly wait staff. They have a separate vegan menu but you might have to ask to see it as it was not brought to us. It is unfortunate that they do not automatically bring it to each table as there are lots of interesting items on it that people are missing out on. Vegan Slider Burgers on Multi grain tastes great! 2) 165b Tomato Coconut and Veggie Soup – fantastic puree for the taste buds! 160b Curry Chinese Cabbage Rolls 200b – Very yummy! Draniki Potato Pancakes 145b – Really good will give you sour cream for them upon request. Be nice to have apple sauce for them as well for a real traditional Russian style. Veggie Tempura 145b Nice crunchy batter on a variety of veggies! Very good! Mango Smoothie 110b Wow delicious. Spring Rolls 120b, Creamed soups – Asparagus Mushroom – Tomato 160b, Fries 110b, Onion Rings 110b, Marinated Veggies 95b, Fried Veggies and Tofu 180b, Thai Curries 215 to 275b, Most items are higher than average prices.
