we discovered this place about Michelin guide. the omelette with oysters and taro, which was fried for perfection. not too salty, just enough sharp. I got used to the Malaysian style, so taro in the mix was a little strange at the palate. the oysters were very small and not sufficiently thin. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about O Tao Bang Niao:
We just came here because of the Michelin recommended, in terms of the food quality, extremely disappointed, basically we did not eat much for the two dishes as shown in photo. Long waiting time after ordering, and service is lousy, I would not recommend this place to any one. View all feedback.
It was almost 20 o'clock. only during this time. no other customers sit in the restaurant. owners and server saw us, but they asked or took no order. we order fried cuddles, but they couldn't hear. they eat their dinner next to our table. Finally, one of our owners has taken over our orders. slow cooking even no customer. while we waited for food, wept children of the owners and the owners cried to their children. very loud atmosphere. the taste of the fried clam is not what I expected. it's like omelette with clam and was different than fried mushles that I prefer and have ever tried. I didn't try, but if I tried. I will not order and take away. service was not good, but not so bad.
Phuket local food “O-tao” it is roasted dish of small oysters, taro and egg mixed with flour and top with pork. they also use wood stove to cook any dish. it tastes a little sharp is good to eat. I found a restaurant by leading a Michelin guide. they have bib gourmand from 2019 until now. I'm here at 17 o'clock, there was no waiting so that eating was fast, hot and big. there were no parkursache 2 schools are close.
Another old shop in Phuket. Plus, the shop has received the Michelin seal for many years in a row. The food tastes good, the iced tea is delicious, but parking is a little difficult. You have to park on the side of the road and walk in. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
Had to try this after watching Mark Wien's video. There are 2 ladies with individual stalls. One was making the fried taro, another was oyster dish. Tried both. The fried taro with prawns was quite good and had nice crisp flavor without being too oily. The oyster dish with starchy flour was a bit too gooey and had very little oysters. But the accompanying lemon juice was simply awesome and was such a thirst quencher. Service: Dine in
