Probably one of the best Hokkien I was in Phuket. Long queue, take away many orders. The dry iron fry mee hun is also beautiful
I had the Hokkien Mee (Fried Noodles) for 70 Baht. The Hokkien Mee is beautifully made, especially the soup base used, which is very fragrant. Not sure what made the soup base, but the noodles taste just increased. Only a few seafoods are here because I noticed a few squids and a little oyster. It is quite different from Hokkien Mee in Singapore and Malaysia, so I think it is worth trying. It has its own uniqueness. The service and the environment are fine, a tiny business, not too clean or tidy, but feels like in a street kitchen business.
Really average. Meetonpoe is more beautiful. The idiot who compared Hokkien Mee in Malaysia said that was culturally stupid. It is like comparing Australian beef and US beef. It is different, though they bear the same name. Hokkien Mee in Penang and KL is also DIFFERENT. Culturally unclear pages are not entitled to make comparisons.
Slow cook/chef... Flavour is general. You can feel the soup is condensed and full of WokHey but no flavour... You will forget how it tastes right away... Not recommend
This place is very old and very tasty! I came during a slow time and the noodles were cooked for me to order. The young man who takes my order can speak English well and the uncle on the Wok fries a few big Hokkien Mee. They use coal and can taste the wok in the noodles! Taste is honestly much better than the Hokkien Mee I tried in Malaysia. Very nice, traditional local food.
