Tortas Chano delivers generous, authentic Mexican fare—hot, fresh tacos, tortas and a beloved California burrito—served with welcoming counter service and a cheerful, small‑shop atmosphere. Standouts include portion size and friendly staff, while drawbacks are unpredictable hours and uneven condiments (under‑salted salsa, pasty guacamole, and questionable chip quality). A great casual stop for families, locals and visitors seeking hearty, honest flavors—just confirm opening times before planning a breakfast pickup.

A little gem... We happened in to ?Tortas Chano? today we?re so glad we did. Kudos to the friendly gentleman (son to the owner I assume) at the counter. We ordered the #8 taco combo and carnitas street tacos, both were fabulous. I fell in love with their flavor-filled mild salsa chips. The restaurant was clean, they have an outdoor patio it?s kid friendly.

I think the first time we tried this place was because it was on that food network show (even before the name change), but don?t let that sway you, it?s a good restaurant on its own. The food is freshly prepared and the staff and owners are always very nice and courteous. The restaurant itself has always been very clean.

Favorite spot in Anthem. Excellent food, nice people, in a lovely, bright location. I almost always go for the California burrito.

Gross (maybe stale? store bought tortilla chips. Salsa needed salt. Powdered guacamole paste yuck. Decent meat but the whole taco meal tasted less than mediocre. ????

They have good food, but don?t keep their hours. It?s really frustrating to plan your Saturday morning around picking up breakfast for the family and they aren?t open. I sat outside waiting for 20 mins past 9am. If you can?t keep your hours changethem.
