The room was sp... read more My experience at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort was truly wonderful! The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. The room was spotless and cozy, and the view from my balcony was stunning. I really enjoyed the pools; they were spacious and ideal for unwinding. The food at the restaurants was tasty, and I couldn’t get enough of it. The resort provided everything I needed for a fantastic vacation, and its location was perfect for exploring Phoenix. I’m looking forward to returning to the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort; it’s a five-star treasure!

They charge a $19 resort f... read more The hotel is definitely showing its age, particularly in the rooms and the stained carpets in the breakfast area, among other issues. They charge a $19 resort fee that offers no extra amenities, along with a $4 bell service gratuity and a $4 maid service gratuity. My room was missing coffee, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable and slow. As a lifetime Diamond member, I was told that no room upgrade was available, yet I easily could have upgraded through the app for a fee. Diamond members are supposed to receive complimentary upgrades, but the front desk often claims that the hotel is full, which is usually not the case. The breakfast credit feels like a joke, as the prices are marked up more than twice the value, so you end up paying out of pocket anyway. The Hilton Honors program used to be excellent, but it has devolved into a scheme that nickel-and-dimes its Diamond members, who aren’t treated with the respect they deserve. As a lifetime Diamond member who has spent over 1,000 nights at this level over a decade, it’s disappointing to see such a lack of recognition after all that loyalty.

Additionally, there was a housekeeping cart parked in front of my room for the entire day, even remaining there after hours.

I stayed in a 2 Queen Suite full with a couch, mini fridge, balcony, etc. Beds were super comfy. Housekeeping was on point and helpful. Ran out of soap and they... read more I stayed in a 2 Queen Suite full with a couch, mini fridge, balcony, etc. Beds were super comfy. Housekeeping was on point and helpful. Ran out of soap and they came thru and refilled the bottles for me, and cleaned the room throughout the stay. Front desk staff was helpful and wonderful. They also assist with planning trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon if you ask for assistance.

It looks like they may have recently redone the walls in stucco, which would explain it, but it's not ready for guests.Both of my disposable coffee cups had been used. One had vodka residue in it and the other was visibly dirty.The bathtub drains incredibly slowly, which I imagine means the drain is full of hair.The ice machine on the third floor, where I'm located, is broken.I tried to order food in the restaurant for lunch, but gave up and went back to my room after waiting 15 minutes without anyone coming over to my table.On the plus side, room service was fast, and hotel staff has been friendly. The views are beautiful and the pools look nice.*Edited with more info:The building I was in also had plumbing problems, which the hotel knew about. My sink would occasionally fill up with dirty water from the drain, out of nowhere. Disgusting. I mentioned it at checkout, and it sounds like the hotel knows about the issue, which makes me wonder why they’re putting people in these rooms.Also, an access panel to the plumbing just fell off my wall, leaving a gaping hole.
