Feedback
Panda Express has been receiving a variety of feedback from patrons, highlighting a significant inconsistency in quality and service across locations. While some customers praise the hot and delicious food, others express frustration over stingy portions, particularly with shrimp and cream cheese Rangoon, often leading to disappointment. Service challenges, such as incorrect deliveries and poor communication, have also marred the dining experience for many. Additionally, concerns about cleanliness in some restaurants have been noted. Overall, while Panda Express delights some with its flavors, others find room for improvement in both food quality and customer service.
They closed 25 minutes early said they were not closed but literally no food employees can't wait to go home shut restaurant down early
Panda never disappoints. The food was hot and tasted delicious. This is not my normal location as the restaurant off Scottsdale Rd. Thomas seems to have fresher entrees (and a little better staff). Always a 'go to ' when we crave Chinese food.
When I arrived at Panda Express, I found that my order wasn't ready at the scheduled time, and I had to wait without any acknowledgement from the manager at the front counter. She seemed upset, as has been my experience on previous visits. Another customer came in for a pickup, and after waiting for a few minutes, he had to draw the manager's attention by almost holding his phone up in front of her. He eventually left with his order while I continued to wait. Noticing a shelf with orders waiting for pickup, I thought it would be reasonable to check if my name was on any of the bags, given that I had been ignored and the manager appeared busy. As I approached the shelf, the manager immediately intervened, telling me not to touch anything and stating she would not assist me further. I explained that I was just trying to see if my order was there. Instead of being understanding, she snapped that they were busy and that I would not be getting my order. Frustrated, I asked for a refund, but she ignored my request. After asking two more times, she finally said I needed to request it online. I noted that I had placed my order directly with them, but she continued to insist she wouldn't help me. When I inquired about who the manager was, she eventually confirmed it was her. I repeatedly asked for her name, and after two or three attempts, she said it was Liz. I'm not sure if she was truthful about that. Once I got home, I tried calling to arrange for my refund, as the online system advised me to contact the restaurant directly. However, dealing with Liz was unproductive; she was defensive and not representative of a good leader. I was completely taken aback that she is a manager, as she should ideally set a positive example for the rest of the staff. Liz claimed she sent out an email explaining why she didn't assist me and that she had indeed told me not to touch the shelf when I was checking for my order. However, that's not the way I remember it. Overall, my experience was disappointing and frustrating.
I ordered the shrimp, orange chicken, chow mein, and brown rice. To my disappointment, I received only four shrimp and a small scoop of chow mein, which was completely overshadowed by an excessive amount of brown rice. While there was a generous portion of orange chicken, some pieces were burnt. I'm really puzzled as to why you are so stingy with the shrimp and chow mein, yet have no issue overloading the meal with rice. Additionally, I ordered this through DoorDash and was disappointed to find there were no utensils, no soy sauce, and, worst of all, no fortune cookie. I had also ordered a kids' meal, and my son always looks forward to the fortune cookie, but we didn’t receive one. Please stop being so stingy with the shrimp and chow mein and do better.
