Step into this intriguing eatery, where the eye is immediately drawn to the enticing array of cakes, muffins, and pastries on display. The ambience reveals a well-worn charm, featuring outdated furniture and faded decor that some may find endearing while others deem it shabby. Dining here offers a culinary adventure ranging from delightful breakfast options—like crispy bacon and fluffy French toast—to standout lunch choices such as a cheesy ham sandwich and delicious Dutch apple pie. Service is friendly and attentive, making it a cozy spot worth visiting, despite its quirky need for a modern makeover.
The first thing your eyeballs are against the enticing cakes, muffins and pastries behind the smudgy, well illuminated display case. Their next sensory impacts come from the disappearing upholstery on humble semicircular stands, mucky black carpet, and all Shabby (but surely NOT Chic) furniture. Years ago, I got a date for a late night of coffee and cake. The only change? ve in place since removed a long meter and row of low-risk stools. Some people can find this lack of modernization charming. Others can find it really terrible. I just see it as Char-ifying. Food and service are usually ok. Demography is about 60. ll often see many OLD-erly cartridges do something I like to call? My recommendation for this aged and dog-aged joint is to let the aged and dog-aged Ty Pennington come by and give him an urgently needed extreme make-over: Coco?s Edition.
Omg guys I could not have been more pleasantly pleased with my experience. Food was Absolutely amazing ? ? my compliments to the Chef. Gina our server was awesome. So tasty.
I had the grilled ham with four cheeses on sourdough with Coleslaw and Pepsi. For dessert, Dutch apple pie. The sandwich and pie were terrific. I prefer sweet coleslaw and their's was not but it was still pretty good.
It has been years since I was in Cocos, and I have to say everything about the restaurant is positive. I walked in my partner and we were seated immediately. The waitress was polite and efficient. I had the Brioche eggs Benedict and my partner had thetomato basil omelette with pancakes. Excellent. There were people in the restaurant. It wasn't crowded, and I was able to havea pleasant conversation with my partner and not have so much noise, around me, that it was difficult to hear. Yes, people werecoming into the restaurant as we stayed to finish our coffee. The atmosphere was nice, the waitress excellent, the food good, and the company I kept was excellent. I recommend that people remember a solid, old time, restaurant that still providesquality.
