Chili's - Phoenix
Chili's
Description
At this restaurant, the overall dining experience appears mixed. While the food garners praise for its flavor and presentation, service inconsistencies often detract from enjoyment. Diners have experienced long wait times, incorrect orders, and indifferent staff behavior, which can leave guests feeling neglected. However, positive encounters featuring attentive bartenders and engaging servers do shine through. The variety of menu options, including appealing choices for children, reflects an effort to cater to families. Ultimately, while many appreciate the culinary quality, significant improvements in service and order accuracy are essential for creating a truly satisfying dining atmosphere.

The take-out service at this location earns a 3-star rating. I ended up waiting outside for 15 minutes after checking in. When I called to let them know I was there, a man came out and, without waiting for me to fully roll down my window, just pushed the bag of food into my car. To top it off, the molten cake wasn’t even warm. They really need to work on their service.
I visited this restaurant on a Friday after a long workday to pick up a to-go order. I specifically asked for no cheese, but they messed up my order. I had to return to get a new meal, and when I finally got home, my chicken was cold, so I had to cook it myself. The whole purpose of going out to eat is to enjoy the food, and as part of the restaurant industry, it’s their responsibility to meet the needs of their customers.
The hostess was neither particularly warm nor distinctly unfriendly. However, the bartender was outstanding—courteous, engaging, and quick in taking our orders and serving our drinks. The food was delightful, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor.
If it were possible, I would give this place negative stars. I received the wrong order, and it took an incredibly long time for a simple quesadilla. After seeing every table that arrived after us get their food promptly, I was finally handed my meal in a to-go container, tossed in carelessly like a dog’s dinner—no sour cream, no toppings. I was so furious that I had to walk away while my husband talked to the manager. We waited over an hour to be served, only to be handed a to-go box as if to say, “Here’s your food—goodbye.”
My experience at Chili's was decent. I ordered the steak, but in hindsight, I should have gone with a hamburger from their menu. As a rewards member, I was surprised to be charged for chips and salsa. Additionally, I was billed for a drink even though my daughter only had a kids' meal. We paid using the small pay pad at the table, but I only noticed the overcharge later when I received the email on my phone.
