It's a decent dive bar—simple and exactly what you expect. John Taffer tends to cut costs on his renovations, and even though this place recently went through a cash rescue, it doesn't look like everything was properly revamped. Adding some new carpet and furniture would greatly enhance the experience and help justify the $15 cover charge. View all feedback.

I come out here to Phoenix every year in December. And go there mostly to play the ponies at their OTB. Their food is always very good. I had the fish and chips and it was excellent fresh and flaky
