Harry’s Phnom Penh

Had something off the Friday's Specials menu. $5 on selected dishes when u order a drink. Had cheeseburger this time. It was average. I do like the fries though. Service is comparatively better than in this range at the riverside.

Food and drink prices are what is to be expected riverside, however the food quality isn't what I would have expected at their price point. No knife was given to cut the steak and the menu items differed from what I was given. The service felt rushed even though we were the only table occupied.

Until a couple of months ago this was the Cadillac and was definitely a 5 star spot. Now it is Harry's, and whilst many of the staff are the same and as good as before, the quality quantity of the food is not as good under the new management, thus it is not as good value as it was. Beers are $1, which sounds great, but now many similar quality restaurants on the Riverside are offering beer for only $0.75, and the, what was, very popular $5 Friday is no more... Overall not a bad choice but could be better... Perhaps the new owners are still finding there feet in a very competitive market...

Nice food spoilt by being served cold vegetables. They quickly changed them but they should have been hot to begin with. These meat pies are now part of the Friday Special menu so there are now just $5. Superb value! Still served cold mash!

Menu items looked good, and I had a decent Irish Coffee, but I literally saw 3 rats while dining here. Also, music selection was a bit too modern for the atmosphere of dirty, rat-infested, Irish pub. Play better music and I'd give it 4 stars, even with the rats. Some people, like me, are chronically depressed and need to keep the company of Order Rodentia, but would prefer more Van Morrison and less Lady Gaga.
