Contribute FeedbackA recent visit to the restaurant portrayed a mix of experiences. While some diners were thrilled with the outstanding French onion soup, wine/blueberry reduction, and scallops, others were disappointed with dry elk, sticky fettuccine alfredo, and salty dishes. Service was a hit or miss, with some noting that the restaurant seemed understaffed and disorganized, while others praised the attentive waitstaff and informative tips on enjoying each dish. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the menu offered a variety of delicious options, such as crab wonton tacos, Kung Pao chicken wings, and crispy brussels sprouts. Overall, the general consensus leaned towards a positive dining experience, with highlights including flavorful dishes and friendly service, although there were some missteps noted along the way.
Since 2016 was not in sampan and it was an even better experience than I remember. I was last night for her happy hour. my friend, I sat at the bar because the outside had to wait 30-40 minutes. our bartender samantha was great! all the drinks she made were at the top? the food was also delicious, the only thing I didn't enjoy was the crisp rice. it is in the regular my favorites, but it tasted very strengthening and as the rice was not completely boiled. Otherwise I'll come back because I still had an amazing time?
One of our best meals ever. We opted for the Chefs Tasting Menu, which was 7 of their signature dishes plus two mini ice cream cones for dessert. First, it was a really great way to try something new. Every dish was really really good. We started with the tuna rice cracker and pork bao... perfect combination of sweet and savory. That was followed by the Korean bbq beef and calamari salad. At this point, we were starting to fill up and realized we need to pace ourselves. Next came the crispy brussel sprouts, pad thai (bonus dish delivered to the wrong table), szechuan chicken stir fry, and glazed chilean sea bass. All was amazing, but we definately had plenty of leftovers for later. Highly recommend!
Friday night and the place is packed. Excellent service by Christine and food runners. very colorful and flavorful dishes. We got 5 small, 3 main, 2 sides and one “sushi ice cream” dessert. Very down to earth Wine and Sake menus.Dishes are small-medium size and meant to be shared. Sides are relatively big. The best dish of the night was the spicy tuna cracker. In my opinion it’s very fair priced.Highly recommended!!Pictured is the sushi ice cream dessert.
Amazing! It was my first time here after hearing all my friends rave about it. My date picked out our dishes and we sat right in front of the cooking staff. Literally everything was soooo good! Definitely coming back!
Went in for happy hour. It gets packed quickly so go early to get yourself a seat at the bar. Drink options were plenty and all great. Food was awesome too. Our bartender was amazing and very attentive. She made sure to check on us every 5-10 mins. The old fashioned is really good along with the pork bao buns, kimchi fried rice and sliders. Would definitely be back.
