My friend and I had a good meal at a good price, and we were able to catch up on good times. There was a family behind us with a loud child. We weren't happy about it, but we were also sympathetic, so we were able to tune the child out. Let me emphasize that we did NOT complain to the restaurant. To our (pleasant) surprise, the restaurant manager came to us because our waitress advised him of the loud child. He came to us and said that, to show how much the restaurant valued us as customers, he was deducting 20 percent from our bill. We appreciated this courtesy very much, and it will surely influence us to return in the future.
