Flawless dinner experience. The spicy pork bibimbap, ribeye bulgogi, and banchan were all absolutely delicious! Our food came out shockingly fast and the service was great. Lovely decor and atmosphere as well — the mellow, dimly lit (but not dark) and creatively decorated space make it a great choice for date night. Although we didn't take advantage this time around, the BYO option is always nice. I'll definitely be... View all feedback.
What Mary doesn't like about Buk Chon Korean Cuisine:
Had great experience at the first time, so I decided to go back again for other dishes. Ordered the seafood tofu soup and it was kind of salty, the beef bulgogi was dry and overcooked. Kind of disappointed: View all feedback.
I ordered japchae and the tofu stew without tofu and pork. They didn’t give me banchan I had to ask for it. There was no AC. The food was delicious however, the stew was tiny! I could hear the staff reacting to my modification of the stew, which I asked very nicely about modifying. There were no servers on the floor and they didn’t do last call for food?! I tried to order japchae to go and was disappointed because the kitchen was closed— guess I missed last call by 15 minutes (9:15 when I tried to order . I May come back here but that’s only because I live less than 5 mins away walking. Overall, the service (no last call?! , no AC and the portion of soup for 20$ wasn’t worth what I could get on door dash
A lovely cozy place: balanced taste, nice portions, good and fast service. I recommend tofu it is really great. If coming on a warm day, try to get a table farther from the entrance the AC doesn’t work well in closer to the doors.Food: 5/5
Good and authentic flavors with decent portion sizes. The Teokbokki and Japchae were amazing. The Bibimbap was filling and delicious.Food: 5/5
Read some reviews and was very excited to sample another Korean joint in the city but I would say the experience was slightly lackluster.First of all, AC. I don't know how or why, but I was legit sweating the entire time eating there (and no, not because the food was spicy). Could the outside be even cooler than the inside? I don't know, but it was a little unbearable for an indoor dining experience in a hot humid summer time.My friend and I tried the following dishes: Korean fried chicken (sweet chili) 3.5/5. It was the popcorn boneless chicken. It's crispy on the outside. Good snack and app but it's not quite as satisfying as other Korean fried chicken I have had at other joint Beef bulgogi 3.7/5. Probably one of the most popular dishes I saw on the reviews. Was very excited to order but it came out a little dry and not as flavorful as it should have achieved Soondubu (Tofu stew) w/ seafood 3.8/5. Love that there's a lot of content (tofu and seafood) in the stew but the spice level needs to get turned up a lot just to live up to its potential. All in all, nothing is wrong about the food. But it certainly feels white washed, by a huge degree. When we walked out, all we were thinking was this joint somewhere else that really brought us that feeling of authenticity and satisfaction. And we should just go there next time.
Came here for takeout but would consider coming back to dine-in! I got the kimchi and tofu and it was pretty good! I especially like that kimchi tasted fresh and not like it's been sitting for too long. The order came out to $16 which feels a bit pricy for a dish that doesn't come with a starch but I haven't been to any Korean restaurants in this area so maybe's that's standard. Regardless, the food was good with a decent number of tofu blocks to make up for it. The menu also generally looked looked good so I'd definitely come back to try some of the other dishes for dining in.
