We had a private event at 2nd Story Brewing. This place is really great, with really friendly people. Marianne was a pleasure to work with, and she was very informative on how to have the party. We have been in plenty of times to have some beers, and I have always liked their beers. Good selection of beers and a cool bar set up. The bar has a cool vibe, and the upstairs is great. I really enjoyed coming here for my p... View all feedback.
What lauren k doesn't like about 2nd Story Brewing Company:
Had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately we had to leave after our first round because the beer was so bad. If you think it's just the beer we got, it's not. We tried 5 beers and they all tasted skunked. Came for a birthday dinner, and it really ruined the night. If you're looking for a better option than this: A. Bloomsday Cafe B. Only went to the first floor but think it is also pretty good. Ridiculous portion sizes and menu has no bad choices. Chicken burger is excellent as is the selection of beers. Also have afternoon happy hour
Brew was good, but food was sub par. Shrimp sandwich was cold, meat lovers flat bread was not that great either. Also, not a kids friendly place, don't even have a diaper changing station or handicap accessible bathroom. Probably caters only for drinks. Triumph, other brewery that existed at this place was much better.
The beer was great and the wings were deliciously spicy. Despite the busy atmosphere, we received attentive service. The large space and decor added to the experience.
One of my favorite breweries in all of Philly! Amazing food options, and wide selection of beer styles that rotate depending on what has been brewed. Always clean, and very friendly bar staff.
Terrible management. 1 bartender can't manage table service and a bar. Took 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar. Table service was no better as the table of 4 across from me walked out- they were here before us and never got their drinks. At least 10 people were waiting for a table and left, even though there were at least 6 empty tables. Can only blame cheap owners or bad management. The staff tried (though none of them actually apologized, which is not good). If Jimmy Buffet is playing across the river from your bar, you should expect a crowd of afternoon drinkers. The beer is good. After 5, more servers and bartenders showed up and things normalized. $5 pints for happy hour. Get the aranchini for happy hour.
