Local Palate - Phelps

Can't say enough good about this local gem. Have only visited for breakfast and lunch so far and have enjoyed each visit tremendously. The food is delicious, the ambiance so sweet and welcoming, and the staff/owner is wonderful.

Vegetarian options: Nearly half the menu was vegetarian or easily modified to be.Dietary restrictions: Lots of options and ability to leave out problematic items.Parking: Depending on time of day the street parking is frequently changing out so you can find a spot by waiting or parking in larger areas behind buildings across the street. I find that the lot behind this side of street fills up more quickly.Kid-friendliness: Parents note that there is no kids menu nor high chairs/boosters. If your child is not a SAD picky eater they will have plenty to share but may have to sit on your lap if you don’t have your own travel seat handy. Also weekend evenings and live music are too lively for some families.

This restaurant deserves a 5 star rating. The staff is friendly and accommodating and has a comfortable atmosphere. The food is fresh and delicious. The cuisine is not your typical fare you get at most restaurants. You must give this restaurant a try!

I absolutely love that this cafe is apart of Phelps. The food is always amazing, the atmosphere is so relaxing, the employees are wonderful, and the owner is absolutely fantastic. Local Palate is a true asset to the Phelps community. Keep up the great work!!
