El Maguey Y Cantina - Pflugerville

This is a great little lunch. Very reasonable prices a super nice waitress who always gets everything you need quickly, no matter how busy she is. It is very new, not in a fantastic location, (which does not mean easily seen in the back of a small shopping center on a road with low traffic. I really hope word of mouth positive reviews will help to keep it running. I was only twice, but I liked everything. The hot sauce is delicious with a small kick. At home I am a hotter girl, but most restaurants are conservative with the heat. This sauce was not hot in any case, but it wasn't bland. (I also prefer the thinner mixed hot sauce over chunky or pico-type salsas, so is the part why I liked it. From the combo plates between the 2 visits I tried: crispy beef taco, cheese enchilada, queso, guac, nachos supreme. The only thing I wasn't crazy was the Enchilada, but it was still good. Nothing's wrong with that, just not great. Everything tasted fresh served very hot. The nachos were fantastic. That's nothing nice, but for me it's a great find. It is close to working if I need a good Mexican supplement. I hope it's hanging in there!

This is our go to local Mexican food location. We love this place. Great happy hour, great staff, consistent great quality food that is cooked fresh when you order. None of this microwave stuff from other chain restaurants. We even served their tortilla soup for our thanksgiving dinner and it was a huge hit.

Really good for a restaurant. they have amazing prices on breakfast tacos. as i go in the mornings and those tacos are always on point give this place a check out if you want some breakfast tacos you will not be disappointed. also the tortillas are hand made.

The food here is excellent, especially breakfast and Sarg offerings. I visited for a late breakfast/early lunch on a Sunday, and it was pleasantly quiet, which meant no wait for a table—an added bonus during the calm hours. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that the portion sizes are smaller compared to some other places, but the flavor is outstanding!

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We didn't end up here by chance; other nearby places were full. There was no wait time on a Friday night, the staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. The margaritas were also quite good. We ordered the fajita combination sampler for two.
