Red Lion Freehouse - Pewsey

We regularly travel quite far to eat here and never had anything other than excellent food. Our adult sons said this was the best meal they had ever eaten.

When we first arrived at the restaurant, we had a feeling that it was going to be a great experience. The servers were attentive but not overbearing, showing kindness and being helpful without being intrusive. The food was absolutely superb, with perfect flavors, textures, presentation, and portion sizes.

It has always been a treat at Red Lion at noon, but I notice that corners are cut, butter is not in small pots more with the red lion logo above. My artichoke soup was delicious and could not be imaginatively ignored with olives and parmesan cheese; the chicken liver parfait was pleasant, but a bit cloying and came with a large plate of roasted brioche only the one and two thin pieces would have been more sensitive, plus there was a lack of sweet gel or even a source of water cresss. They are good, but if they believe much more in themselves, they become unbearable. I will go bac, but I hope to see an improvement in attitude.

We had a wonderful lunch with friends at this restaurant. The dish we ordered was fantastic, perfectly cooked. We definitely plan on returning in the future.
